The Winterhawks first home game of the season starts Sunday, October 19th when they play the league champions the Lamont Bruins. This match is the first game between the two teams who have dominated the league championship in the last seven years, with Lamont winning the last two.
“I’m going to take Slave and Lamont for top two this year in the north”, was the prediction on the Fox Creek bandits chat forum. “…after two years of mediocre years that Slave is going to rise to the top again.”
Another chat comment; “Slave Lake-they’ve had a couple years off-look for them for the biggest improvement in 08.”
The Winterhawks’ first game of the season starts Saturday when they travel to Legal.
